CFB Votes on Enforcement Matters for Seven Campaigns

At today's public meeting, the New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB) determined that seven campaigns from the 2017 election cycle committed violations and assessed penalties for these violations. The Board also determined that two campaign must repay public funds and that two campaigns qualified for post-election public funds payments. Other actions taken by the Board at today's meeting include the following:
Ratification of Public Funds Payment
The Board voted to ratify a public funds payment to one candidate in the 2019 General Election for City Council District 45.
Vote on Dismissal of Complaints
The Board voted to dismiss complaints against two candidates from the 2017 election cycle.
Recognizing Campaigns that Maintained Compliance with NYC's Campaign Finance Law
Starting with the 2017 election cycle, the Board is recognizing campaigns that completed the post-election audit process without any violations or penalties assessed by the Board. At today's meeting, the Board applauded the following candidates and their campaign staff for their diligence in maintaining compliance with NYC's campaign finance law.
