What is the most important issue in Council District 17 you would address if elected?
Economic development and improvement. Attracting larger and more diverse businesses, while simultaneously creating more entrepreneurial opportunities.
What other important issues would you address if elected?
Health; affordable housing and services for seniors; air quality; mental health; living wage jobs; educational, work, training, entrepreneurial opportunities for young adults, parents and ex-offenders; and immigration assistance.
What makes you the best candidate for this office?
My commitment to, personal investment in, and passion for the District makes me the best candidate for the office. I am a long standing District resident and served in many civic capacities such as president of the Home-Simpson Homeowners Association and the clergy liaison to the local police precinct. My leadership in the District is well known and credited for improving our community. Additionally, I serve the NYC and surrounding areas in several volunteer capacities. These opportunities along with my vast professional experiences have furthered my ability to garner resources and benefits for the District through strategic alliances and partnerships. The District residents will benefit from my considerable networks. In short, the totality of my life experiences stand me in excellent stead to be City Councilman for the District.
