2011 PRIMARY ELECTION

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13
POLLS OPEN FROM 6 A.M. TO 9 P.M.

Welcome To Your Official New York City Voter Guide
Last fall, there was a special election in Council District 28 to fill a vacancy. This fall, voters in Council District 28 will elect a Council member to represent them for the remainder of the term, which runs through the end of 2013. Special and off-year elections often have low voter turnout. We urge you to read the candidate profiles and go to the polls on September 13th to cast a vote for your party’s nominee.

There are also special elections in the 9th Congressional District and 23rd, 27th, 54th, and 73rd Assembly Districts, and primaries for party positions and judicial races. Click here to see information about those races.

Last year, the Board of Elections introduced a new way to vote using paper ballots and scanners. Check out the How to Vote page or visit www.votethenewwayny.com to learn more.
