Donald T. Wooten, the youngest of all
the candidates running in the 42nd Councilmatic
district was born and raised in East New York
and has always believed his community was the
“crown jewel” of Brooklyn. Currently
employed with the NYC Human Resources Administration
for over 18 years. He has seen the misfortune
and suffering of people who just want an opportunity
to be able to work and support their families.
Education is his number one priority and he will
look to explore ways of bringing true education
through academics back to all neighborhoods in
his district. He sees a vision of schools, churches,
and community banning together to achieve this
goal. He is a supporter of providing care for
the sick, senior citizens and giving our youth
of the future every opportunity to excel and advance.
Donald believes in closing the gap even more between
police and community and is in favor or providing
opportunities to our parolees seeking housing
and employment. His message to the community is
“We will all have options for our future
and every option will be an advantage for all
and not for some!”
