My wife, Judith Novellino,
my children, Joseph and Julia, and I love the North
Shore of Staten Island and are proud to call it
home. We love its diverse population and natural
beauty. I believe it would be a great honor to serve
this community in the City Council and that is why
we have embarked on our “community campaign”
to restore a stronger connection between the people
and government.
Our next Councilmember must have the experience,
ability and vision to lead the North Shore locally
and in the new City government. I have that experience
as counsel to Eric Vitaliano and Betty Connelly
in Albany and Jay O’Donovan in City Hall. I have
the ability to fight for the North Shore as shown
in my successful campaigns against graffiti, helicopter
noise, traffic, over development and as the lawyer
against the Rosebank power generator. The vision
of the district becoming the “gold coast”
of Staten Island comes from my years of civic
activism, coaching and charitable volunteering.
Some things I’ll fight for in the City Council
include:
- Education dollars for our
overcrowded schools;
- Better planning and ending
over development;
- Quality of life improvements
in our fight against crime, traffic and litter;
- The rights of veterans,
seniors and the physically and mentally disabled;
- Funding for the arts - cultural and educational;
- Civility and an end to all “rages”.
I have been endorsed by Betty Connelly, Jay O’Donovan,
Eric Vitaliano, Vito Titone, Ralph Lamberti, SEIU-1199,
UFT, Court Clerks, Fire Dispatchers and I expect
others.
Thank you for considering my candidacy.
