Our City and Community face grave challenges. In these critical times “Business as Usual” will not suffice; nor will a do-nothing City Council that contents itself with renaming streets, passing meaningless foreign policy resolutions or regulating the public use of cell phones--when they are not mindlessly raising taxes! The present incumbent personifies all of the above, while systematically ignoring the real needs of his constituents. I intend to bring real representation to our community and pledge to do the following:

- Roll back Gifford Miller’s unfair tax increases

- Substantially increase the number of Police Officers assigned to our precincts

- Ensure that the new School Chancellor addresses the needs of our high performing Public Schools

- Propose a sound plan for Economic Development and Fiscal Responsibility that will create new jobs and expand our tax base

I support the following: - Expanded access to all women for Mammograms, Strong Rent Regulation laws, Expanding EPIC drug coverage for Seniors and SCRIE (Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemptions), A Woman’s Right to Choose, Charter Schools, The Second Avenue Subway, Public/Private Partnerships to provide affordable housing, Non-partisan Municipal elections, Preventing the City Council from further eroding Term Limits.

If elected I pledge to provide the high-level of constituent service that you had come to expect with Roy Goodman and John Ravitz. Also, I will open a satellite constituent office on Roosevelt Island.
