1. What is the most important issue in Council District 24 you would address if elected?
Education because the future of our economy depends on a skilled workforce. I support emphasis on increased parental involvement and fiscal oversight through a third party. I also support the expansion of Pre-K services, smaller class sizes, and quality after-school and summer programs which will promote a healthy development of our youth.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
Economic development by promoting the establishment of more job training centers. I would also motivate high-school graduates to learn different trades to help them find employment and contribute to the local economy. I would also address housing, health care, immigration, and safe environment.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
I am the best candidate because I have already made an impact in my community. As a grassroots organizer, I have made it possible for the members of my community to voice their concerns about safety and environmental issues. I will promote the incorporation of new ideas, transparency and a fresh perspective to city management. I will stand ready to examine my district's needs and create innovative solutions for our residents and businesses. After many years of dedicated public service, I am offering my passion, and experience, leadership to build a safer, vibrant and thriving environment.
