I am a 28-year, life-long
resident of the Bronx with government and community
experience.
I obtained hands-on government experience in the
Bronx, Albany and Washington. I want give back and
serve the community that I was raised in.
While at the City Council, I helped people cut through
bureaucratic red tape. At the State Legislature
I fought for consumer rights, gun control and disability
awareness. At the White House, I conducted outreach
to many constituent groups.
Mayoral candidate Alan Hevesi furthered my interest
in government when he was my professor. As an Aide
to Assembly Member Richard Gottfried, I acquired
a firm grasp on the important issues facing our
City.
You deserve not only someone with government
and community experience, but also a leader who
is not a career politician. I pledge to be a
full time council member.
As the son of a retired public school teacher, I
know firsthand how poorly teachers are paid and
how the lack of respect for the profession is a
deterrent to attracting qualified people. My top
priority is to ensure that every child receives
an excellent education.
I have guided seniors through the maze of many useful
government programs. I helped hundreds of constituents
and improved public safety by expediting the repair
of roads, traffic signals and streetlights.
I am opposed to construction of a water filtration
plant at the Jerome Park Reservoir and in Van Cortlandt
Park. Viable locations exist to build the plant
in less populated areas of Westchester.
I will fight for your needs without regard to race
or religious background.
We all want the same things in life... universal
health care, quality education for our children,
reliable public transportation, affordable housing
and a safe community to live in.
I would be honored to represent you.
