We deserve a Council Member
who is part of the solution, NOT part of
the problem. As a resident of southeast Queens
for over 30 years, and a graduate of the local
public schools, I will fight to make School District
29 a district we can be proud of. All of our children
are entitled to a quality public education in
an environmentally safe place.
We have a right to our fair share of city resources.
I will fight for a police department that ensures
our safety and earns our respect. I will fight
for a public transportation system that riders
can rely upon. I will fight for clean streets,
repaired roads and an end to the years of flooding
our community has endured. I will fight for community
programs that will benefit our seniors and our
young adults. It is time to revitalize our commercial
strips and develop local small businesses where
our children can find jobs.
In my race for Democratic District Leader in 2000,
I ran against the Queens political machine. I
missed the win by 44 votes with nearly 300 paper
ballots that went uncounted. I will fight for
you. I will be part of the SOLUTION, not
part of the problem.
