1. What is the most important issue in Council District 06 you would address if elected?
Quality of life for all. To achieve this, we need to move from reactive, turf-based policymaking to an inclusive and collaborative process of designing education, housing, local economies, and infrastructure that make New York City work for everyone and for generations to come.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
My four priorities are: Creating a sustainable model for public schools so that no parent has to worry about their child's next step, increasing the availability of housing for all, safeguarding small businesses, and building and protecting our infrastructure.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
My twenty-five years of action. During just two terms as Chair of CB7, I worked with the community to secure a new 100,000 sq. ft. school, 600,000 sq. ft. of permanent affordable housing, the renovation of the 59th Street Recreation Center, and $20 million of funding for our parks.
