1. What is the most important issue in Council District 36 you would address if elected?
As a father of 5 public school children, I believe that education is the most determinative factor in an individual's life. I would work to end mayoral control and support the proposed moratorium on school co-locations and closings so that the parents of the district will have more control over the education of their children.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
I would focus on economic development, support for seniors, youth development, housing, and public safety.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
I have 30 years of experience that highlight my ability to bring people together to address deeply entrenched challenges. From my time as the "Hip Hop Minister," working with youth in crack era New York City, to the present as a minister in Bed-Stuy, I have worked to empower my community, and I am an independent voice.
