1. What is the most important issue in Council District 44 you would address if elected?
Fines, Fees & Taxes. Over the last decade, fines, fees and taxes have gone up. Since I was elected three years ago, I have been writing and passing laws to end "gotcha" tickets, address unfair fines on small business and prevent raising taxes. As a law-abiding citizen, you just can't catch a break. I'm working to end that.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
I will continue my mission to improve the "quality of life" of our community. I've secured $15 million to fix every single park in our community. I've obtained funding to clean our streets. I've kept our senior centers open and thriving. I've secured millions each year for our schools--from new gyms to security to after-school programming. I have literally helped thousands of community residents with every imaginable problem--from potholes to taxes to fixing traffic signs. I will continue to be the most responsive elected official in our community.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
I was born and raised in our community, and my wife and I are proud to live and raise our young children here. I understand the challenges you face, because I face them myself--from the high cost of rent, to unfair parking tickets to the expense of our children's education. Because I experience these challenges every day, I work harder than anyone else to solve these problems. And I have the experience and proven track record of getting things done for us.
