I have been a resident
and longtime community activist in the 32nd Council
District for over twenty years. I have raised my
family here and understand the problems and issues
that community residents face on a daily basis.
I have achieved a record of accomplishment in bringing
services to families and in bringing funding to
my community. I secured NYC contracts for activities
in the district, effectively managed budgets and
have converted taxpayer dollars into meaningful
programs that benefit all residents of my community.
My efforts have led to jobs for adults and local
teens and provide vitally needed recreational and
educational settings for our children.
My involvement with a community based city-funded
agency in need of assistance with management and
administration resulted in improved conditions for
the residents and staff of the facility. Community
relations improved and a safer quality of life for
the entire community exists.
My record of working to improve the problems which
plague District 27 schools make me the most qualified
candidate to speak on educational issues within
the City Council. My extensive contact with school
administrators, personnel and students will allow
me to powerfully convey our need for increased funding
for school construction, a decent teachers’ contract
and for accountability from district administrators,
parents and students.
I will be an articulate voice regarding our concerns
about airport expansion, land use proposals, environmental
issues, housing problems, transportation and programs
for our youth and seniors.
I am the candidate who will lead our District effectively
- with integrity and with the experience to fight
for the resources we need and deserve. I represent
people not party politics.
