I’ve been blessed with the opportunity
to have learned from my father, Congressman Joseph
P. Addabbo, about how to serve the needs of the
public. I intend to utilize my accounting background
during the budget process, legal experience to
create legislation, and years of voluntary community
service to be the complete full-time city councilman
the residents deserve.
Education
Overcrowded classrooms, underpaid teachers, and
poor school infrastructure are unacceptable conditions.
I’ll propose legislation to make the Board of
Education accountable to the residents and students.
I’ll work with the parents and administration
of each school. My dedication to improving our
schools and bringing about change will only stop
when the problems are solved.
Public Safety
I’m dedicated to increase the police presence
on our streets. I’ve worked to form a cooperative
relationship between our officers and residents
to maximize the safety in each community.
Seniors
I’ll be a strong voice for seniors by seeking
additional funds for senior centers. I’ll continuously
listen to their concerns and value their ideas.
Economic Development
Hard working residents are the foundation of the
community. I’ve supported jobs, contracts and
governmental programs that promote the union worker.
Transportation
Transit in the Rockaways and other areas are
unacceptable. I’ll research ways to improve these
conditions such as, the old Rockaway spur of the
Long Island Railroad and a subsidized ferry
service. Private bus services will be addressed.
Additional issues such as illegal conversions,
health care, tenants rights, veterans, younger
residents interest, the environment and other
concerns will face us and we’ll address them all...TOGETHER.
