Bill de Blasio has dedicated his life
to public service, and as a member of City Council,
he will fight for the Democratic values that Brooklyn
families care about the most.
Bill de Blasio will fight to improve education
and make schools safer. As a member of the Community

size, restructure John Jay High School, and make
schools safer for our kids. He meets on a regular
basis with parents, teachers and school administrators
together to solve education problems. On the City
Council, he’ll fight to increase funding for schools
and make our children a priority.
Bill de Blasio will work to make Brooklyn a more
livable place. On the City Council, Bill will
fight to make sure we receive City services second
to none, he’ll work to reduce truck traffic in
our neighborhoods, he’ll work for more community
policing to reduce crime and make sure all people
are treated with respect, and he’ll work to improve
Prospect Park and provide more recreational opportunities
for our children.
Bill de Blasio will fight for more affordable
housing. As the Regional Director for the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development, Bill
worked to increase housing for senior citizens
and the disabled, and revitalize distressed areas
in Brooklyn and all over New York. On the City
Council, he’ll fight for a new City commitment
of $1 billion each year to make housing more affordable,
and he’ll encourage public-private partnerships
to make it a reality.
