The rightful expectation
of every resident in my district is to have a clean
and safe community. This is where we raise our children
and where our parents and grandparents spend their
golden years. I am a strong advocate for community
policing and continued police sensitivity training.
Small business is the economic lifeblood of our
community. They provide countless jobs. Those
businesses are failing because they lack access
to working capital. I want to see the revitalization
of our business strip. As a small business owner
myself, I will bring my expertise to advance their
development and to foster economic expansion through
funds allocation and economic re-investment making
Flatbush/East Flatbush an economically vibrant
community with entrepreneurial opportunities for
our residents.
Education is the hope of our future. I will fight
for the creation of multi-purpose community centers
that will provide day care, after school and adult
learning programs, in addition, there will be
athletic, social and vocational programs for the
youth. I want to end adult illiteracy. I will
also fight for small class sizes.
Healthcare is a right not a privilege as it has
become. I will fight for increased funding to
hospitals and clinics to ensure that high quality
and affordable health care is available to all
residents.
