As a former entrepreneur,
community activist, city government Director and
Assistant Commissioner, Edward Lewis has proven
that hard work and principles can be put to use
to improve the quality of life in the community
and for the people of the City of New York. Ed Lewis
has a long history of leadership working with others
to turn good ideas into reality. His contract and
budgetary negotiating skills as an International
Representative with the United Paper Workers International
Union and the Parks Department will be an attribute
when elected to the City Council.
His experience, energy and hands on approach to
solve problems is needed in the City Council to
help improve the educational crisis in our schools,
provide healthcare coverage for those uninsured
and a living wage for all workers. Ed Lewis will
continue to work for better public schools, safer
streets, economic development and a better future
for the youth. He will continue to build coalitions
for growth and progress.
