Brown wants to improve the quality of
life for all community residents. He believes
that we can all come together as a community whether
White, Black, Latino, Asian or Indian with common
goals to make our environment and community a
clean safe prosperous one.
Brown believes our environment and surroundings
affect the way we live, at a time where there
is an increasing rate of the use of insecticides,
pesticides and rodenicides which are prevalent
and continuously used and sprayed on our fruits
and vegetables, neighborhood parks, subway platforms
and unbeknown to many our community streets. Based
on his training he can effectively reduce health
hazards in the community.
Brown is a firm believer of affordable housing,
he wants Senior housing, Mitchell Lamas, SRO’s,
Rent Control and Rent Stabilization to be maintained
in the community.
Brown is not in favor of turning affordable housing
into Coops and Condominiums.
If a new building is built, Brown believes that
community residents should have preference in
obtaining the required affordable housing units
which are set aside by law.
Brown is a strong advocate for education he strongly
believes in more educational after school programs
in the community.
Brown believes in education and rehabilitation
for non-violent first time offenders and supports
funding of services for “at risk” youth.
Brown supports continued funding of the Civilian
Complaint Review Board. Brown believes in a stronger
strap-hanger campaign, he wants token booth clerks
to remain for community safety, He will oppose
any decrease in service or security by the Transit
Authority
