I am committed to restoring
the quality of life in my community. It’s the reason
I want to be your next City Council Member in the
45th Council District of Flatbush, East Flatbush
and Flatlands. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New
York, I have lived in the Flatbush community for
over 25 years. I am a product of the New York City
public school system; I attended P.S. 193, Andres
Hudde J.H.S. 240 and Midwood High School, in the
45th District. I will use my leadership skills,
vision and activism to benefit the residents I seek
to represent in the City Council.
The issues that are important to the 45th District
are clear:
- Providing quality public
education for every child
- Fighting to dramatically
increase after-school programs
- Assuring access to quality
and affordable childcare
- Developing community businesses
- Advocating for a speedy
and unambiguous immigration process
- Working to develop innovative
public transportation solutions
- Assuring access to quality
healthcare
As I travel around the district and hear the
stories of my neighbors my commitment has deepened
to meet the challenges before us. I will persist
in working on behalf of our community. As a member
of the City Council, I will continue to reach
as many people as possible to build partnerships
and develop solutions to the issues that are important
to our community.
