Joseph Amato will fight for the issues we
care about. He is committed to making our community
a better place to live. We have been dealing with
unresponsive City Agencies and Community Boards
for far too long.
Joseph Amato and his family have been
politically active for years. He knows how important
it is to have someone fight for us. Amato will
work to bring the necessary resources into our
district.
OVER-DEVELOPMENT CONCERNS
Over-development throughout our district has brought
terrible truck traffic to our residential streets.
From mega stores to baseball stadiums to waste
transfer stations, our district has seen a flurry
of new activity. While some development is good
for our community, all of these new projects are
adding far too much traffic to roads that are
already overburdened. The lack of proper planning
has created this environment of haphazard development.
Joseph Amato will fight for us. He will
work with the Community Boards to insure that
new development does not destroy the character
of our neighborhoods.
BETTER CITY SERVICES
Our homeowners are burdened with onerous regulations.
Our streets are crumbling from heavy truck traffic.
Our Seniors deserve a proper Senior Center. And
our schools need to have adequate funding to insure
that every child gets a decent education. Overcrowding
in our schools has created the need to take P.S.
248 back from the MTA, and we will need funding
from the Board of Education to accomplish this
task.
Joseph Amato will fight to bring us our
fair share of city services.
Joseph Amato has the full support of Jim
Sutliff, who had the Republican line for City
Council in 1997. For more information or to volunteer
