I believe we must become an inclusive
community respecting and learning from the diverse
cultures around us. I feel that our community
has been left behind in the past and we need to
catch up quick. We have an obligation to our children
to make our neighborhoods a safe place that offers
a sound education. Our seniors must have health
coverage that includes prescriptions. An affordable
place to live is a fundamental right of every
citizen and I will fight to keep housing affordable
in District 47. I know the people of this district
need a strong leader, who will not back down,
a leader committed to bringing back the glory
that South Brooklyn once had. I know that once
you get to know me, you will understand that I
am totally committed to making our district the
best it can be.
It is imperative that our police start building
a rapport within our neighborhood. This will help
decrease crime while giving our neighborhood a
sense of trust.
I support smaller class sizes, so that every
student will receive personal attention. Our teachers
must have at their disposal the tools to empower
them to better instruct our children.
